first step to total insanity
Well we did it. After 2 months of research, staring at countless RV's of all types and sizes on the internet, we took the plunge and bought one. Mind you we started out with a list to look at carefully organized by location. Naturally the weather had to unleash a freakish snowstorm ( like how often does in snow in Tucson, seriously) So we loaded up all three dogs and headed for Phoenix. It is always a journey and we never do it the easy way, armed with a map and a cellphone we optimistically assured each other that we would look at all the ones we selected and pick the one we liked best. Now that was not going to happen but it sounded good. The first one we called ( and who had pledged to be home) was not answering so we moved on to #2. seemed like a nice man but couldn't give directions to save his soul, took us all over Queen Creek ( he liv ed in BFE) We got there and it did actually match the pictures. One would think 2 adults of our age could stick to the plan, right? Wrong. Mr seller was asking more than we even had with us, so we started to make our exit (per the plan)and he decided he could make us a deal and he did. We were about to say yes when we remembered our plan and made an excuse we needed gas. And we did exactly what we said we wouldn't and went back. We undercut his price a bit more and surprise he took it. So we headed back home with our prize now we have a huge list of things we need to fix or change. As we start on our way to creating our new home I will keep you updated.
